ENRICO DE LUIGI

Photosynthesis Experience, 2019

ABOUT THE ARTWORK: Photosynthesis experience is a visionary journey in the floral world. A new evolution is revealed in my last project, where flowers become fascinating hybrids between photography, paintings and illustrations. The traditional and naturalistic connotation of the botanical universe turns into a futuristic evolution of colours and lights, 80’s fluo echoes that barely remind us images of science. These are “photoshop free” pictures, with no image retouching, with no post production. Naturophatic images that move us unexpectedly in the depth of our feelings silencing the mind.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Enrico De Luigi is a portrait, cinema still and reportage photographer born in Rimini (IT) in 1966. Enrico began his career in Milan in the end of the 80s and contributed to the most prestigious national and international magazines such as GQ, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Riders, Sportweek. To his hometown Rimini he dedicated a nostalgic black & white series collected between 1989 and 1998. With the Giant camera Polaroid he portrayed world well-known actors and directors at the Venice and Berlin Film Festival. He worked with italian iconic film directors, collaborated with film production Fandango for over 20 years and was on the set of 40 movies. The interest and curiosity in the human manifestation brought Enrico to constantly explore other worlds with an anthropological eye: high impact feminine nudity where no modesty reveals a deeper meaning and a natural revelation to the subject itself. From 2010 to 2018 he started picturing a daily journal called BLOB publishing 45.000 images online. Enrico lives in Rimini his house-studio called Camerechiare.
