Fluid Sections (2018)

ABOUT THE ARTWORK: Fluid sections - The water as a photographic composition element.
"Section: /ˈsɛkʃ(ə)n/ , any of the more or less distinct parts into which something is or may be divided or from which it is made up." "Fluid: /ˈfluːɪd/ , a substance that has no fixed shape and yields easily to external pressure; a gas or (especially) a liquid." When you think of the section word our mind immediately imagines something marked and rigid, but especially something straight ahead. When we think of the fluid word instead we think of the exact opposite, something flowing and tortuous but especially something curvy about it. The approach of these two terms presents itself as a contradiction, but precisely through this contradiction this project takes shape and presents itself: through the use of water and therefore of a fluid I sectioned the female body, researching in it new forms and presenting it as any other object; I trimmed with liquidity new forms and new looks, giving the body itself the possibility of“emerge” and show up with new eyes and new profiles.
